MGS’s Biggest Morning Tea

The Student Representative Council (SRC) is proud to share the success of this year’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea initiative, held at Macquarie Grammar School on 22 May 2026.

The morning was filled with generosity and enthusiasm, with tables showcasing a wonderful selection of home-baked goods, savoury treats, and refreshments, particularly the flagship yellow and blue flower cupcakes in honour of the Biggest Morning Tea colours.

Students and staff contributed a variety of delicious items, highlighting both their creativity and commitment to the cause.

The SRC played a key role in organising the event, coordinating donations, setting up our stall, and encouraging participation across the school through posters and continuous messages in homerooms across all year groups. The event’s success was showcased by an animated cartoon-themed video snippet with the song “Sunflower” in the background in assembly on the Monday after the event.

Beyond fundraising, the Biggest Morning Tea provided an opportunity to raise awareness about the impact of cancer and the importance of supporting those affected. It was inspiring to see the school community come together with such compassion and purpose.
